Does certain foods that we eat make my acne worse or better?

I suffer from acne like many other people in the world, but we are all left to ponder what can be the causes of acne. So what can we do to prevent it and make things better?

So many people in the world are suffering from acne and we are often left to wonder what are the causes of it and what can be done to prevent it. The medical profession is taking a look at the foods we eat and trying to determine whether or not they play a role in the formation of acne.

Sugar and Greasy Foods

It is commonly thought that chocolate can cause or worsen our acne. You have probably heard that when you eat a lot of sugar or a lot of greasy food that you will give yourself an acne outbreak. The truth is that we are not actually sure what prompts these outbreaks. There are factors that contribute; our genes may make us more prone to have acne. The food, of course may be part of the problem. Scientists often look to stress and the hormones that are released because of it as possible causes. There may be some evidence to be found by the fact that it seems to be worse in adolescents than it is in adults. That would lend credence to the possibility of hormones being the cause.

The Link Between Acne and Food

There is no definite proof that eating types of foods can make your acne worse or better, it certainly makes sense. Have you ever seen a teenage eat foods that are not good for them, this may explain why their acne may seem worse then other ages. The smartest move until there is a solid answer I suggest you keep an eye on what you eat. Eating a heather diet will not hurt either, but if you tend to notice an outbreak of acne after eating a type of food, then you would want to avoid that food in the future.
